Quality Policy

The management of the Laboratory of Radioactivity Laboratory (LRA), declares its firm commitment to good professional practice and to the quality of its tests in the service to its customers. The tests will always be carried out in an impartial and structured way and with the established methods (management and technical methods) and with the requirements of the clients, not allowing commercial, financial or other pressures that could compromise such impartiality.

With the preparation of this Quality Manual, guidelines have been established to implement and maintain a Quality System, based on the UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard, to ensure the quality of the tests performed. To this end, the LRA has designed an organizational structure and has drawn up work procedures that are appropriate for this purpose.

All laboratory staff must have the technical knowledge necessary for the development of the functions entrusted to them, as well as knowledge of the documentation related to quality, whose precepts must be incorporated in the development of their work.

The management is committed to scrupulously comply with the provisions of the international standard UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025, as well as to continuously improve the effectiveness of the quality management system.

In addition, the laboratory as part of the Polytechnic University of Valencia is committed to the occupational safety of its workers and environmental sustainability. To meet these aims, the UPV complies with all the requirements established in the international standard ISO 14001:2015 and with all the additional requirements of the demanding European Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS).
